Construction at the Burwood project continues to move forward through September, with the structure advancing while early internal works begin across the lower levels.
The combination of structural activity, service rough-ins and upcoming framing marks an important transition for the site. While the building continues to rise, work is also starting to move into areas that will progressively shape the internal spaces.
The structural program remains a key focus, with work continuing through the upper levels and the level 3 slab pour forming part of the current construction sequence.
Each completed slab extends the building vertically while creating the working platform needed for the trades that follow. As the structure progresses, this allows EPIC Build to coordinate upcoming activities across different areas of the site rather than waiting for the entire structural program to finish.
Service rough-ins have now commenced within the basement, introducing the next layer of construction behind the main structural works.
This stage involves establishing the required service pathways and connections before later finishes are introduced. Formwork stripping is also set to begin through to the ground floor as completed concrete areas reach the appropriate stage. Removing the formwork opens these spaces for the next trades and prepares the lower levels for further internal activity.
Over the coming weeks, attention will increasingly shift to the ground floor. Service rough-ins are expected to commence, followed by wall framing as the internal layout begins to take shape.
Windows are also scheduled to begin arriving during this period. Together, framing and window installation will represent a noticeable change on site as the building moves beyond its concrete structure and starts developing its enclosed form.
September represents continued progress rather than a change of direction for the Burwood project. The structure is still advancing while work within the completed lower levels is beginning to gather momentum.
By coordinating these stages concurrently, EPIC Build continues to move the project forward across both structural and early internal works. We look forward to sharing further progress as the Burwood site continues to take shape.
