Burwood October Construction Update: Structure Nears Completion
October has brought further progress to the Burwood project, with the main concrete structure approaching completion and work advancing across both the exterior and interior of the building. As the upper levels near their final structural stages, different trades are now working across several areas of the site.
The main concrete structure is almost complete, with the upper roof slab scheduled to be poured in the coming days. This marks an important milestone in the structural program as the building approaches its full height.
With the concrete works nearing completion, the team is also preparing for the next phase of construction. The tower crane is scheduled for removal in late November as the project moves further into external and internal works.
Window installation and external wall works have commenced on the ground floor, with activity expected to extend to levels 1 and 2.
A significant portion of the building's external precast panels is already installed, allowing the remaining external works to progress alongside the internal trades.
As windows and external walls continue to take shape, the building is moving closer to being enclosed, creating the conditions needed for further interior works.
Inside the building, wall framing is progressing alongside electrical, plumbing, mechanical and fire services rough-ins. The ground floor and level 1 are also progressing through plastering and ceiling works.
With multiple trades working across different levels, careful sequencing remains essential to maintaining steady progress throughout the building.
The upcoming installation of a construction hoist will support the movement of workers and materials as remaining construction activities continue.
With the structural program nearing completion, external walls progressing and internal finishing works underway, the Burwood project is moving into its next stage of delivery.
EPIC Build continues to coordinate these activities across the site, bringing together structural, external and internal works as the development moves closer to completion.
